I finally got YDL 2.3 on my iBook SE (no Mac OS) and like magic I launched Konqueror and was surfing the web. After logging off and coming back later I cannot get on the web. First, when I want to get into network config wiz I am told to enter my root pw for the internet druid and then I get in and try to setup up an xdsl connection and I keep getting the message that it cannot activitate device PPPo. What gives?
Thanks
Will

There is supposed to be a Roaring Penguin for PPPoE program in the YDL packages that, when configured properly, will handle the PPPoE protocol for you.

The problem is, I have no clue how to do that, since I have never had such a connection.

However, I did read recently about someone who was having the same problem, and they essentially solved it by putting a Linksys Cable/DSL router between the computer and the DSL modem. The router now handles the PPPoE and YDL treats the connection as a DHCP connection (which you configure using the YDL Network Config tool you mentioned).

Try that and see if it works. I'd be curious to see the results.

I have had that problem. I simply rebooted, and everything was back to normal.
