Just picked up a plextor 32x scsi cdrom and still got the adaptek scsi host adapter for an isa slot. Any value to THIS. Any takers? ANY offers? Alex Cavnar, aka alc6379 01-27-2003, 12:54 PM How much would you want for it? What are the specs? Is it SCSI I, II, Ultra? I have an old proliant that could take a SCSI CDROM in it... I'd just have to figure out how to stuff it in between the 6 SCSI hard drives it already has! cage47 01-27-2003, 06:20 PM A search on Plextor's site shows this drive isn't that old so I'd assume it's SCSI ii. Don't know enough about these beasts. But I do know it's not wide ultra. It fits on the ribbon that comes with the adaptec card. Hey I got it free so make me an offer. Got anything to trade? Always looking to up my video. Got an old 4meg ATI rageIIc in my box now. I NEED a new keyboard for my Thinkpad 760el but not everyone has one of those just laying around. cage47 02-03-2003, 12:45 PM It's a 50-pin scsi socket. When I plugged these into a spare machine they both registered. The card is an aha-1542cf and the cdrom is a Plextor Ultra32. If no takers it's going on E-bay. I just saw one go for $35. justlinux.com
