Does anyone know a free mac os x c++ compiler? I really would like something like gcc but could find a link to download. I don't know macs too well. By the way, this is not my laptop, so dual booting and the such are not options.
Thanks for the help,
Paul

depending on what type of system you are running...

you can download a set fo developer tools (containing gcc compiler) from MAC/Apple for free...

it was quick, easy, works, and did I mention free

cheers

I am a retard, but I couldn't find it on their web-site. Could you please send me a link. The only place I found wanted $20 for being a student and I didn't want to pay for that :D

I do appreciate the help,
Paul

Check this site out.
if nothing else do a site search.
I can't remember exactly where I got the stuff.
I just remembered I nosed around the site for a bit and found some stuff to download and low and behold it worked...

http://developer.apple.com/tools/

Best of luck

Shodan's link is great. Also, you might also be interested in Fink: http://fink.sourceforge.net/ Also, check out their packages http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/index.php You can basically get everything you need from these two sites, gcc, ddd, tons of linux development tools, etc. Enjoy
