I'm running the ASUS A7N8X deleux and using the onboard sound. Or at least trying to. I get 'some' sound out of it but NVIDIA has released drivers just for Linux and this board that I would like to use.
My question is how do I go about updating the driver so that it's using the NVIDIA (correct) version?
Thanks.

just about the nvidia, you can just download the source codes from www.nvidia.com, and build the driver for your device,(it is easy than installing with rpm file 8-) it can meet your system version.

Thanks all.......I'm running Red Hat 8.
The funny thing is, is that it gets detected as an NVIDIA sound card but is actually RealTek (but like I said I ran the driver from NVIDIA and now I do have SOME sound).......I will check out that thread. Thanks again.
If you're ever in my area I'll buy you a beer :)

what I mean by SOME sound is that I get sound in KDE only out of my front speakers and not all of the surround ones. So which tells me there is a setting somewhere to set up just how many speakers I have (but I can't seem to find it)
