i have searched high and low.....how do u bind mouse buttons

i have the new logitech mx 700 mouse

linux sees all my buttons as they all do soemthing but they all do the same thing, how do i configure the buttons to do the following:

- two thumb buttons are forward and back in browser
- two buttons below wheel are copy and then paste
- the button on topp of the wheel is delete

any help will be greatly appreciated
