Two things...The greeks believed every bit as strongly as christians. They had statues that wept and bled 2000 years before the christians did.

The second...No AOL is a good thing.

o, btw, yeah, AOL sucks, but since it's so popular and my dad knows **** about comps, it's te account he ordered, and since the cable guy dont till next saturday, well, it's aol or nothing. But I only use it to get connected. But that's not the problem. I still have the invisible mouse problem, but I actally have a bigger problem right now. It's explained in the thread.

I know nothing about AOL, try signing up for a free webmail account for a few days if it's email you're worried about, you're obviously connected to the internet anyway at the minute. As for the disappearing mouse, try changing resolutions. Works for me. I need to find a better solution cos lo-res is terrible.

resolution is the whole problem..... i set my resolution to 1040(or whatever it is, I know that's the wrong number but close to that, just above 800) and the color to 24 bit, logged out of gnome, and my screen goes blank. When I had the res at that bfore (first install) it did the same thing (thought I had fixed it)

now I can't get into a gui cuz the screen goes blank, and I don't know how to change the res/color in a command line. check my thread for more details

What does your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file have in the mouse section? I have a scroll mouse and this is what mine says.

Also /dev/psaux should be a symlink like this:
lr-xr-xr-x 1 root root 10 Jan 27 08:32 /dev/psaux -> misc/psaux
Then /dev/misc/psaux will look like this:
crw-r----- 1 root root 10, 1 Jan 27 16:10 /dev/misc/psaux

Try running drakxconf as root and scroll down to mouse and select:
ps2 Generic ps2 wheel mouse.
