I always thoroughly snoop other threads, but find very little on EvilEntity so I hope there is hope:) I appreciate your help.....
I am a newbie so "baby steps" ;). I have 2 problems, my first problem is I am trying to triple boot (EvilEntity, Winxp and Redhat8) I'm trying to find my special Distro. I installed Redhat8 last because I like Grub, and everything seems fine except It wont pickup EvilEntity. EvilEnity is very odd to install (mainly partitioning) I'm not sure if I should be installing EvilE as a primary or logical partition but i know if its not a certain setup, the system wont reconize the swap partition although it is set as swap( still learning, but I have a feeling this may be the answer....just a guess) If u have ever tried EvilE, you may notice It dosnt really give u an option on where to install bootloader, so whatever option defaulted...thats what i have but I didnt want to use lilo anyway, wanted to give Redhat's grub the power. Redhat was installed to "\"
My second problem is ADSL or ppp0 connection, I have no idea how to set it up for EvilEnity...but did manage to get it working with Redhat8 in the past, dont know why it wont work now.... Have a copy of Roaring Penguin and my Ethernet card is a Realtek 8139. When Redhat8 loads, it should the eth0 "FAILED in red". What the heck am I doing wrong.
Being a newbie is tuff, its hard to even explain my problem in a efficient way that makes sense (thanks for patience)
If you could give me some guidance I would sincerely appreciate, once I get a bit more experience I will be sharing the same guidance (hopefully if I learn ;)
