Hi all!
I have Mdk9.0 and its easy enough for me to use it for basic stuff. Now i would like to share files with a buddy and Im not thinking of Kazaa or Direct connect...

I was thinking of FTP since my buddy runs XP...
I think i chose the FTP package to be installed in my distro...

I saw someone mention wuftp and proftpd and it seems like i have both...
well here is the locate readout..

./var/log/proftpd
/var/lock/subsys/proftpd
/var/run/proftpd
/var/run/proftpd.pid

how do i know if its installed? i tried the command proftpd as root but nope....
? and how can i set it up? Anyone want to show me a simple setup file that u have for allowing one specific user?

thanx!!

On logout i get
Shutting down proftpd [ok]

but when i check gnome system monitor I get no process called proftpd... should I?
How do i know if its up and running all ready?

i tried to connect via ftp and i got connection denied...
