I just got att cable serveice and when I log on to the internet my compuer changes from "localhost.localdomain" to something that looks like "q2-r0-e3-f0-r0-d9-g2-p1"
after that I can't print and gnome complains" can't find ip addresss for q2-r0-e3-f0-r0-d9-g2-p login anyway?" when I log in to gnome everything seems to work fine except for the printer. If I want to print I have to reboot without activating eth0 to become localhost again.
how do I fix this?
