Install Linux

Hi,

I'm a complete beginner when it comes to Linux. Bear with me, please.

I have an old 486 machine at home, and it does not have a CD-ROM. However I would like to install a version of Linux on it so that I can start to get familar with it, etc.

I'm looking to find out if I can get a copy of Linux on floppy discs, I know that there will be many floppies but I want to put my old computer back to use.
