Very newbie question.

I have the mandrake 9.0 iso disks burned to cd.

It doesnt seem to be installing from CD when I boot up.

Do I need a special floppy boot?

Thanks

You proberbly just need to change the "boot sequens" option in your BIOS setup (press del at startup to enter it), just look around in the setup and you'll find it. The sequence you have now is proberbly floppy->harddrive->cd, just switch places of harddrive and cd. You might want to switch back later because it takes a longer time to boot when the computer have to check your cd.

If you can't boot from cd then you'll need to boot from floopy.

You could even start the MDK installer right from Windows. Insert CD1.

And make sure that you burnt the iso, and not just copied the file http://www.linuxiso.org/viewdoc.php/howtoburn.html
