Riptide - Conexant Sound and Suse 8.1

I have Suse 8.1 on an HP Athlon 700 - with OEM Rockwell (Conexant) Camelion(?) modem/sound card. Downloaded drivers and installed - modem installed ok - sound does not. Have soundcore module loaded. Problem unresloved symbols:
