I drop redhat and loaded mandrake 9.0 and I'm on line with linux yes what a great feeling......

My ? is what is the easyest way to get my USB'S to run ......

I have sound ,printer,scaner all working almost there now
need my USB's for camera and Palm Pilot .Then its time to say bye bye MICROSUCKS yes ....

Thank you again evryone for your help with my kernel problems . Maybe mandrake is right for my system.....

You don't actually 'run'; USB ports, they are simply accessed. Open up printer config, add your USB printer (make sure printer is on). Turn on USB camera, plug in and use the Kamera tool that came installed. Plug in and turn on scanner and start one of the multiple scanner programs installed. Plug in and turn on your palm pilot and start Jpilot or Kpilot. Each of these apps will find the associated hardware, you configure and you are up and running.
