Xmame

I downloaded and compiled Xmame (and I'm using gxmame as a front end) and so far, it runs. However, whenever I try to run a rom, I get the following:


e: loading rom 13: 241-c4.bin
Message: xmame: done
Message: xmame: Using a Visual with a depth of 24bpp.

it then just sits in the terminal and does nothing. ANy ideas what is going on?

Does this happen with any ROM you try? I prefer grustibus (http://grustibus.sourceforge.net) as an xMAME frontend, I've never had any problems using that. Nice touch is that you can save indivual settings for each game...I did have a full screen problem with it in the past though...
