In KDE when I log in to my usual user account, I can't set the mouse to Double-click to open files and folders (select icons on first click). Whenever I select that option instead of single click to open files and folders, I click on an icon once and it opens in the old way. Then, when I go back to the mouse options in control center, the option has reverted to its original state. When I'm logged in as root, I don't get this problem.
