Recently I upgraded my kernel from 2.4.18-bf2.4. Before that I was running a conservitive 800x600 16 color depth but when i upgraded my kernel it crashes unless its at 8 color depth at 640 x 480. To give a better idea of "crash" what happens is if I set the color depth to 16 when X loads only bottom half of the screen appears and then X stops working(mouse movement is the only thing that works). Then when I up it to 24 nothing shows at all. It works with the old kernel but not the new one.WHat could be the problem?
