I was "exploring" Gnome some time ago and came across a screensaver control panel that provided a checkbox beside each of the oodles of screensavers available in order to enable/disable them. I disabled all but one, as I wanted to select just that one at the time. Since then I cannot remember, nor find, the program again, and since all of the screensaver modules are disabled, the normal screensaver selection panel has no effect in selecting them(shows them but they won't work).

Can anyone guide me back to the master control panel for screensavers that I may enable them again?

Thanks,

If i remember rightly it's under 'prefences' > 'screensavers' but that's in RH8.....might be different for you as you didn't state which distro you're using (hint)

Ooops! Good point. RH 7.2

Where did you find "preferences". I'm looking in the window menu, and when selecting Edit Preferences, there is no mention of screensavers in the panel.

An ideas?

run "xscreensaver" from the terminal and click settings

I just get the message "xscreensaver already running" in the terminal view.

then use "xscreensver-demo" and that should bring up a familiar window ;)
