After installing kde3 after login still kde2 starts. I have a complete original install of Suse 7.3 personal. Downloaded all necessary kde3 rpm's of suse-site, installed them by rpm -Uvh without any missing dependency, while kde was not running. I can see that there is a kde3 directory similar to the still existing kde2 directory.
I use the original login screen, which is a suse login manager i believe. (kdm?).
running suseconfig does not change anything, and i have been trying to change some files like /etc/suseconfig without exactly knowing what i'm doing. Now i reinstalled everything, and i would like to know how to get kde3 started instead of kde2. All the suse startscripts are confusing me about wat really happens when logging in and choosing a wm.
