Quanta plus is very good for a newbie...
If you have time?
I suggest you order the netscape 7.0 cd at netscape .com
in the compose webpage you simply type and the software automatically adds th html tags....
The browser linked with e-mail is by far the best
web browser available at the moment.

Star Office works great for building web pages by GUI then you can use Bluefish or Quanta to clean it up a bit or "tweak" a bit. That's how I build my pages. I use Quanta mostly to do Javascript and Star Office Web Writer to create my HTML pages. Pretty darn easy too.

Here is a page I am working on for a local coffee house... http://cajoncoffee.com check it out,. 97% of it was built with Star Office 5.2 then rest in Quanta.

ya know, I probably shouldn't reply here but html/xhtml/css is what I do and I messed up my linux this week so I'm in a bad mood.

Go learn html -- http://www.w3schools.com/ it's the only way to make an accessible web page. There is no FrontPage equivalent here - Thank God!

so if I sound rude, it's because I've spent some time learning the language and these builder tools are crap.

if you know html and want a decent helper, then try bluefish and yes, you have to download it and all the dependencies.
