Hehe....we get what you mean :D

Ok, someone might correct me because i haven't used wine in ages but........there's an option within wine to run WIN programs in a window or full screen. Obviously you have it set to run in a window....hence you see the window of your linux window manager and the WIN window (blimey, does that make sense!)

Or i could be getting confused...

Try running 'wine --help' to see how to run it full screen

You mean like this? hmm... wine is making gimp's screenshottedness crash. (can't open xwd file. bah!) heres a copy of my wine config.

However, run winesetup or winesetuptk and change a setting from desktop to managed :)
