Blackbox weirdness

Oddly enough, blackbox is running somewhat slowly on my computer. My framerate for a few of my 3d games has dropped alot (from 150 fps in armagetron (KDE) to 45 fps (bb)) also, my programs are loading a bit slower than they did in KDE.

Is there a file I can edit, or do I need to get a diffrent version of bb? I'm running whatever version that came with mdk 9
