I have an SG10 Toshiba server w/RH6.1 (not sure what kernel, but it is the one that does not support USB) and I have a client, running XPhome.
I had the SG10 going fine, then decided to PCA into a remote computer and the SG10 went down. I lost my WAN ip. Since then, from the client, I cannot access the ADMIN page of http://myserver.myserver.loc which was set up when I installed the SG software on my client. I had also installed Webmin prior (this is not the first time I lost connection), and That too, I cannot get to using http://192.68.1.1:10000.
I have since put on a VGA cable and as I ONLY have a usb k/b and mouse, I put on the USB cable to on the SG10 server. I will have to find my adapter for the k/b to use the ps/2 on the server.
My Q's are: 1), as I have a KVM switch, I watch the SG10 start up. I get Eth0 FAILED and ETH1 FAILED. and it continues and HANGS at dhcpc. Unless I do an Interactive boot, and skip the dhcpc, it goes okay. How do I fix the dhcpc to stop hanging?
2) The SG10s Public IP WAS 66.8.161.57 and in some of the configuration files (Im linux illiterate!!), I see that it still shows the same IP, even tho the RoadRunner cable modem has been unplugged and replugged numerous times. However, connecting the SG into a router (which was connctd to the RR modem), I was able to ping outside..like 'symantec.com' or nycap.rr.com. But I could not ping the client.
3) As my problem is intensly long, I need help in getting back into WEbmin Using a non-gui interface or giving the SG10 commands in linux so as I can use it as the server.
