No internet!

Ok, here is the deal... im using a dual boot system to load ASP linux and Windows 98. In Windows 98 my internet connection (Dsl) works fine. On the other hand in linux, I cant connect to anything , Linux recognises my network adapter and the connection light is on, but I cant get data. can anyone help at all?

Are you using static ip ? make sure you have the same subnet as your win box and make sure you have the gateway ip correct.

I have got my working last nite..whatta nightmare was.
