ok, calling out all linux users need serious help
bought a "Umax net cam" as it was the cheapest webcam there, it's USB (obviously) and it works in windows
my problem is, i'm pretty sure that USB is in my kernel, Mandrake 9.0, had 2 USB ports in my motherboard while installing mandrake ages ago
after connecting the webcam and booting up (nothing different about the bootup)
everything seems normal.
i am hoping to use it for image and video and live purposes.
i have been trying gnomemeeting but with no luck in getting a signal.
any ideas?
please give us a hand so i don't have to use windows everytime i need a pic or video
i will give u any info about my comp u need, just tell me how just in case i'm not sure how to get the info.
