Sound

Hello,
I recently installed SUSE 7.3.
I got the modemn configured and working, however I can't seem to get .wav files to play. I have a sound card installed on the mother board and I installed a second PCI sound card.

Both are conofigured and on different IRQs.

I hooked up some speaker to the pci sound card and hear very faint sounds even though I have the volume at maximum.

Any idea what I could be doing wrong.

try using whatever mixer app your distro has.
specifically look at the PCM setting.

Thanks for you suggestion. I pulled up several of the mixers. None of it worked. I will try a different set of speakers.

Keep in mind that when the modem dials, I hear the dailing very clearly.
