I am having trouble install Mandrake 8.2 for PPC. I've burned the iso images and my problem is I can't get my machine to boot from the CDROM. I've folowed the instructions and held down 'c' while restarting but it boots to the Mac OS. I can select the Mandrake CD as the startup disk and I've tried that but it still starts up to the Mac OS. I have also tried disabling the harddrive at start up by holding 'shift, option, command, and delete' but at start up it shows an icon of a disk with a '?' in it. The system profiler reads:
Power Mac G3
OS 8.1
PowerPC@266 MHz
Memory 192 mb
Start up device: Internal ATA, ID: 0, Mandrake Linux PPC
One confusing thing is that under initialzation options, when selecting the hard drive it says it can't initialize it because it's the startup disk.
I am confused to say the least.
