I install rh8 for first time and i have no sound and my video setting is not config i have geforce 4 mx 440 video card and sb audigy sound carb on my pc i have the drives for them but they not suported for linux so how can i config them and get it working in linux i'm new to linux and dont know any of the command or my way around linux but i install linux to learn hearing it better than ms win i have 2 hard drives on my pc so 1 hd i'm booting to win xp and 2hd i hard rh8 linux have no problems with sound or video card in win xp all working great only linux is a problem also i downloaded linux for free it say i got 36 updates but i have to pay for the updates at red hat 60$ so i'm just going to wait till i buy linux cd i guess so i can have it update why that have to pay dont understand that anyway i really need help in getting my sound and video card going i know that there more stuff not working like my cd burner and dvd rom i'm new so i really need help i see comand line but i dont know what they mean or where they go so if you tyoe any of the comand please explain stuff i'm a fish out of water dieing right now linux seem to complicated for a some one new but like i said i'm here to learn as much as i can i see some stuff on my installation that ms win dont add and i heard linux is a lot more stable than ms win so i also see as far as games are i will be limited because i'm a big games but i can always run my games on ms win so what the hell cant have my cake and eat it too now can i or can i let me know
