OK folks, lets see if u can help me with this problem. Whenever I try to start Unreal Tournament the following happens:
Unreal engine initialized
Bound to SDLDrv.so
Joystick [0] : Unknown Joystick
SDLClient initialized.
Bound to Render.so
Lighting subsystem initialized
Rendering initialized
LoadMap: Entry
Failed to load 'Entry': Can't find file 'Entry'
Failed to load 'Level None.MyLevel': Can't find file 'Entry'
appError called:
Failed to enter Entry: Can't find file 'Entry'
Executing UObject::StaticShutdownAfterError
Executing USDLClient::ShutdownAfterError
Signal: SIGIOT [iot trap]
Aborting.
Exiting.
Name subsystem shut down
I'm guessing it's failing to load the intro?
Any ideas on fixing it?

Is there an Entry.unr in the UT/Maps directory? If there's an Entry.unr.uz, then you need to either install using the correct installer, or find a .uz decompressor somewhere. I think there are people here who know places to download such programs.
The other thing is, the SIGIOT could be causing it. There's a UT FAQ entry about SIGIOT's (the FAQ used to be hosted at Loki's site, but the lokigames.com DNS seems to be gone now -- in any case, a Google search for "ut faq linux" came up with a link to it, and I could read it using Google's cache) that you might want to look at as well.

Know nothing about UT, but my first look would be at the "Load Map" and see if the paths for "Entry" coincide with where the file is.

There is indeed Entry.unr.uz in the maps directory, and no Entry.unz
I am using the correct installer, GOTY 436 for my GOTY version

Did you do a "locate" from the terminal for the "Entry.unr.uz" file? First update your database with the command...
updatedb -u
See if the site has info on this file.

Your UT maps were not decompressed during installation. I found a script on the web that I use to decompress them, but I don't have access to my home machine right now. A Google search will find it though.

I would guess unrar, but the uz completly threw me. Can you just de-compress with any unrar utility?

uz & uz2 are epic's compression format for UT & UT2003. You uncompress them with ucc.
