ive got an old p60 lying around with 40mb ram and a 500mb hd. its got a cdrom and a floppy drive. i want to install linux on it as the only operating system. im new to linux and after looking through various sites DeLi linux seems a good match for my pc (but if anyone can recommend anything else that'll run well please dont hesitate to tell me).
anyway ive formatted the drive and would now like help with installing it as i really dont hav a clue. as it will be the only os on the machine whats the rules regarding partioning. ive created 2 boot disks as stated on the website http://delilinux.berlios.de/(the root and the cd-pp.dsk)and i also burned all the files to a cd. what now?

many thanks

I am not sure what to do with partioning. Maybe just one big partition. The install directions on the site look pretty good. I am assuming that the installer isn't bad, I have never used it so I can't really say. Give it a shot, post again if you have specific problems.

Good luck
edit: I would use the disks, not the cd.
