hello
i am a newbie to linux (complete newbie!). i have a pc with windows xp (pre-installed). a few days ago i tried to install linux. i was successful but now my computer wouldnt boot into windows xp (i tried a lot).but i wanted to keep xp.fortunately i had no important data and my manufacturer had given me a restore cd.so i reformatted my drive and installed windows xp again.later somwhere in the docs i came across a place saying something about linux and lilo overwriting the booting stuff of windows xp in the Master Boot Record (or something like that)and it happened only to xp and not 98 or any other versions.so can anyone tell me what
to do or where to look for instructions or help.are there web pages focusing on xp and linux dual boot systems?please help me!!!

thank you

You have to install RH then go in lilo's config file ( I never used lilo, so I dont know what is it's name) and add a line pointing to XP's boot partition, something like hda0(it will depend on how you made your partitions)

I use grub, and my windows is installed in hda4!
