I'm confused...does the RH8 setup create partitions for you or do you need to use a separate program like FIPS/Partition Magic??

Bokkenka 12-06-2002, 12:46 PM There is a section of the installer that will partition the drive. I don't remember off the top of my head if it will resize FAT partitions, but I don't think I would if it did. It definitely won't resize NTFS partitions. As long as you have free space on the drive, you can use the install partitioner. You can either manually set them up, or just use the auto allocate, and it will partition the free space for you. bwilliam79 12-06-2002, 12:50 PM It won't allow you to resize partitions during the install, but id does provide you the opportunity to manually partition the drive, or you can let it automatically partition for you as well. I believe there has to be free (unpartitioned) space on the drive before it will automatically set up your partitions. Hope this helps. justlinux.com
