Hello,
I want a complete help for install Red Hat 8.0. Before that I'd like to give my Current PC configuration.

1. Intel Pentium 4 1.7 GHz
2. 256 MB RAM
3. 60 GB MAXTOR Hard Drive
4. Sound Blaster Live! Value Sound Card
5. NVIDIA Riva TNT 2 AGP

I'm running now windows XP professional. I want Dual Boot. Windows Xp and RH 8. I have 4 drives in my HDD. Each has about 14 GB of space. And all are NTFS formatted.

I want to creat another drive with 5 GB of space and want to install Linux there. Is is possible for me to install Linux ( ex3 formatted) with Win XP ( NTFS formatted)?

Please help me to install Linux with windows XP.

if you want to save time and headaches get your hands on a copy of partition magic if you cant or dont want to spend the cash for a legitimate copy then search the forums and read the NHFs about formatting it is a bit tricky with NTFS using fdisk is your best bet(over using your linux distros partition tool)

Or why not just totally redo your system. If you have anything they you need in your windows drive ave it to cd. Then reinstall windows xp

Insert the cd than just use there partition program that is built into the windows installer.

Might take a little longer this way but hey you do get a clean winblows installation out of it.........

Then install rh8 with the iso disks that you have burned and just use the default os manager...
