Okay, so I'm trying to dual-boot XP with Suse 8.1 Pro. The install is *supposed* to boot directly from disc one. It does not. I changed the CMOS settings to boot from CDROM then floppy then IDE. That didn't work, so I changed it to boot first from CDROM and disabled the other two, but it still ignores the CD and boots XP! I know it's not the disc because I tested it on another box, any suggestions? PLEASE.

If you have more than one cdrom device, are you inserting the installation cd in the correct cdrom drive?

Are you saving the changes in the bios?

Will it boot from the XP cd?

assuming you've got everything done correctly (like plus what MD suggested), probably....just probably your cd is corrupted or you didn't burn it correctly..
hehe..sorry i once burned it wrong (as a wrong type), which it just burn the iso as a file instead of "burning image", then it doesn't do anything.
if the cd is correct, then somebody else might be able to help.:D

It would appear that I was using the wrong CD-ROM. ::smacks forehead:: I appreciate your help.
