I'm having some trouble installing Red Hat Linux 8 on a Athlon 1.33 w/512M RAM. I'm using a boot floppy that I've imaged the boot.img file onto with rawritewin. The machine boots off the floppy but hangs at the following point:

Partition check:
hda:(nothing after)

I have craeated part for the new OS on HDD 40G with 3 previous partitions. I parked the Linux part. after the first part., wich is the OS W2K.
The part. was created w/Partition Magic.

So what's wrong?
I don't know anything about Linux, nothing at all.
Can somebode help me out here?

I have read the Official RHLinux x86 Instalation Guide, and I stil dont have a clue about anything.
Please help! What should I do?

Try deleting the partitions (leaving free space) you created with Partition Magic and then start the Redhat install again selecting Expert Mode.

Selecting Expert Mode (or similar) will give you more control over the installation process and should also allow you to create the required partitions during the RH installation.
