starting / stopping kppp and ifcfg-ppp0 from cammond line ??

Hi All

I want to write a script that starts my internet dialup connection each time I open Galeon. In order to do this I need to know how to start and stop the ppp dialer using the command line.

Could someone tell me the appropriate command for kppp and ifcfg-ppp0.
