I was wondering if there is anyone reading this that has successfully set up a Linux Wireless router?
The configuration I am most interested in, is a machine that has one wired, 10/100 NIC and one wireless nic. I am about to attempt this and am looking for any pitfalls to watch out for, or advice.
I plan to also have this be a DHCP server for the internal segment of my network that it is connecting to the wireless part. The machine will have a firewall in place on for the wireless card since that is the side that will be able connected to my wireless router ( which is connected to my cable modem. I would like to have the wireless card get it's IP from the wireless router.
My appologies if this is all confusing. I will wait and see what others have to say.

I've done it. The only gotcha I ran into was making sure that IP forwarding is really enabled. If you run into any trouble, I'll be happy to help out.

Its funny. I was doing some heavy research on actually building this Wireless Linux Router, when I came across another idea I may try in the meantime. The idea is a wireless bridge. I can plug my Sun box into it, and it should never know it is wireless.
I will still work on the wireless linux router, but this will enable me to work on it without the pressure of having to get the Sun box online.
Thank you for the offer of your assistance. I may just accept it should I get in a 'bind'. ( pardon the pun ).

Happy Holidays!!!
