Hello i am running suse 8.1 pro samba is running i can access all the computers on the network Xp 98 and 2000. The problem is i can't see the linux comp on any of the Win machines any ideas.

Install Samba on your Linux machine. I don't know what series the Samba packages are in, but just search INDEX.gz or YaST to find the packages.

They don't come on the 8.0 Personal CDs, so I can't help locate them.

make the the netbios server is running on the linux box.. I think that is nmbd -D to run it command line... and also make sure you have a share setup?
