I have an "Intel pro/100 M mobile connection" ethernet card built in my notebook. After i start mandrake contro center(MCC) and trying to configure the network. It asks for auto-detection i say yes but it end with this

"insmod'ing module eepro 100 failed at /usr/lib/libDrakX/modules.pm line 55"

where is my problem?
what should i do?

Should i recomplile my kernel?

Hmm I have no problems with this interface on a Toshiba Satellite 2805. Check whether the eepro100 module is present. I think mine is in /lib/modules/2.4.19-16mdk/kernel/drivers/net/e100

This is the default install of MDK 9.0. If you compiled your own kernel you might have skipped this module.

Try manually loading the module (as root)

modprobe eepro100

I 've changed from MDK 9.0 to RH 8.0 and everything is now runing fine, even the mouse. But it just don't reboots, everything will be killed, it reboots you see the screen that where your memory is counted and than when there should be written somthing like LILO or GRUB. it writes nothing and stops(i have to shut down)

I changed the eepro module to ethernet 100 M withot pro and now it works, share the hapinnes with me i am connected :)))
