Hey all, i'm trying to install a promise ide controller in a dell 2400 with a debian3.0 disk. Anyone ever get this done successfully? I am having a ***** of a time trying to get the install disk to load. It has a backplane on it with dell scsi control. I've tried to disable scsi stuff in the bios but still to no avail. Also tried to change jumper settings on the hd's but no luck. Any ideas on what I need to do make it work?
