BIND installation/configuration trouble

I am attempting to install/configure BIND on my linux box[running Red Hat 7.3], and am experiencing difficulty finding named.conf. I am aware that by default it is supposed to be in /etc. Is there something I need to run in order for this config file to be generated? The installation readme indicates it should be created upon "make install". Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well here is a shell of mine. You should check all of the documentation to make sure it isn't going to some sub dir. By the way did you download it or is this the one that came with 7.3? The version would also be helpful.
