I have my Lexmark z55 printer driver installed on my linux box. The only problem I am having is that it is capable of 4800x1200 dpi. I am getting about 2400x1200 or less with streaks going through the image being printed. The printer itself is fine, the printer heads are clean. When I installed the driver, the software came with it's own control panel. I haven't been able to find that software. There is no hurry on helping me out, worst case I call up Lexmark tech support and complain to them. Any help would be appreciated.

What type of package did you install for the driver and control panel? rpm or source (tar.gz)?

If rpm

rpm -ql packagename (without the version and extension)

will list the files/directories installed by the rpm package.

It should then be easy to find the executable for the control panel.
