My mouse doesn't work right in KDE.
I can move around, start applications and so on.
But when i'm trying to go to the menu of K, it slides out and then slides in allmost immediately!
It's really strange but i can't figure out how to fix this...
I have a cordless mouse from logitech on USB.
Anyone...please?

I think you might be talking about the panel sliding in and out, right? If so right-click on a blank area of the panel and choose "Preferences">>(highlight)Panel>>(tab)Hiding

You might find the appropriate setting here.

Yeah that's right!
I'm talking about the panel sliding in and out.
But when i'm right-clicking somewhere, the menu comes out and dissapears allmost imediately!
So that doesn't work allso........
Maybe you've got another idea?

Greetings Vlow

Check all the mouse, panel, menu etc. settings in the KDE Control Center.

I've heard of people having problems with this because of the hardware of the mouse. Is it possible that the mouse is so specifically designed for Windows based computers that it simply won't work or identify itself in the USB port under Linux?

Just an idea:(

Yes, maybe that's it, i can't think of anything else.....

I think it's definitly worth a shot at trying out a different mouse on KDE, see if it works.

LMK about the answer ;)

I use a Logitech cordless mouse and keyboard in KDE 3 on Linux Mandrake 9.0 with no problems, so I don't think it's because the hardware is incompatible. It's probably not properly configured. What distribution are you using?
