Hi

I just finished installing RH8 on my system. Everthing went as documented and the system works like a charm. I had KDE as the default desktop.

While looking around the system, I changed the Desktop Manager to WindowMaker and restarted the system.

Now I can't find any way to change the Desktop back to KDE. WindowMaker seems a great space saver...but too advanced for me right now.

I would be grateful for any suggestions / guidance that would help to switch my desktop back to KDE.

TIA & Regards

I wrote an NHF on this for changing the default desktop. It should answer your question. Please excuse the typos in the NHF.

Thank You Qwijibrumm.

My post came from pure newbie fear. I panicked and posted the question.

And the panic was further aggravated by the strange behaviour of Windowmaker. Most of the items under the desktop-right-click menu were not working in WindowMaker. I kept getting errors about not being able to excute followed by the name of the application.

I took about 5minutes after the post to calm down and search this forum. I found an answer in another thread by 24jedi

Please excuse the typos in the NHF
I just finished reading your NHF...very insightful. All I have to say this...don't worry about the typos and keep writing. It's people like you who keep saving my skin everytime.

Thanks and Regards
