Running Xconsole in the root window?

I have seen this in several screenshots, where someone has their xconsole transparent on their background. Does anyone know how to do this?

I am using debian with fluxbox.

I think both aterm and eterm support this. Try reading the man pages I remember seeing it mentioned in there. I hope this is what you asked.

A search in the forums for transparent terminals should also yield some good results.
