I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to get linux 7.2 to stop ignoring my tape drive driver.

How can you tell the tape driver driver is being ignored?

Could you please provide a bit more info?

When I use the GUI hardware scanner it sees the drive and where it specifies what driver is being used it says 'Ignored'. I also noticed that the file system type in the GUI mount tool is DTFS. When I clicked the Mount button the system response id DTFS is not supported by the kernel.

SCSI or IDE Tape Drive?

If SCSI, do you have the scsi controller modules loaded?
