OK, don't kill me ... I have Microsoft Notebook Adapter/ MN-120, does anybody know how to install it? will it work under lin - I'm new to lin and I don't want to spend any more $$$

Do you already have Linux installed on the box that has the MS ethernet card?
Does lsmod list any modules as loaded for the nic?
cat /proc/interrupts
cat /proc/ioports
lspci
show anything ethernet card related?
