Hi,
I've just got an old server from work..

it's a single Pentium Pro 200
256 meg ram
5x 4 gigs hard drive ( SCSI )

Now, what you be the best thing to do with such a monster ?

I'm just looking for some idea,..

webserver, mp3 server ?, any other idea ?

that would make one helluva firewall/router if'n you don't already have one......of course you would only need one of them 5GB SCSI drives so with the other 3 you could put them fast puppies in a box that may be able to fully utilize their fast speed......

It might not be bad as just a file server on your home network, although the un-striped drive space is a bit on the cramped side.

Otherwise, I'd strip out the drives and use it as a firewall/router with a sub-1GB drive or just a floppy or CD-ROM boot.

With the amount of memory, you could use it for just about anything.

Apache webserver
File Server
Mail Server
Router & Squid
