Why won't linux recongize a sis 900 series onboard lan card or a netgear fast ethernet PCI(listed as supported card for redhat 8.0). How do I go about initializing the card. Can neone help. I cna post anymore info that is need to help me rexolve this problem. Thank you

Since the Netgear is on the RH8.0 supported list, then first disable PnP OS in the bios and see if that helps.

If not, post back and we can give you a few more suggestions.

While looking through posts that related to my problem I found that tip and tried it (disable os pnp) but alas still does not recognize. thank u for help.
