I have a Duron 850 and a p100. I want to install linux on the p100 but my only option is using floppy(it doesn't have a cdrom drive). What do I have to do? (just the basic version. I don't need graphical interfaces)

Most distros have a proceedure to install from floppy disks. Check your chosen distro's webpage for floppy installation proceedures.

You can install Slackware I think with just minamal options from floppies (5, i think).

Don't think you can do much with that though.

For Mandrake and Red Hat or any other network install version. If the two machines are networked you can set up a ftp server on the 850 and copy the CDs to it. Use the network boot floppy to install.

Well if you have a network card in the p100 you could probably pull it off. otherwise the only distro that I know of that you can install completely with floppy is older versions of slack. I know I installed slack on a p90 back when that was the fastest processor intel made with nothing but floppys.

I'll try versions like AlfaLinux, Tiny Linux, etc..
