I am currently trying to perform an FTP install of SuSE 8.1. Here's what I've done so far:
1) downloaded the boot image (ftp://sunsite.cnlab-switch.ch/mirror/SuSE/suse/i386/8.1/boot/boot.iso), and burned to CD. Rebooted from CD.
2) Set up an FTP install: set up the network card module, specifed I wanted to install by FTP, entered the FTP source. The program than downloads a 45 MB file and starts YaST.
3) The setup program works, until these two things: I do not have a choice of software to install, and am warned that no boot medium is being created although I specified that I wanted to create a boot disk. Any ideas?
